VBI Location and Facilities

Location
VBI is hosted on the campus of the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA). Located in Westwood Village (which is positioned between Santa Monica, Brentwood, Bel Air and West Los Angeles), UCLA provides a safe, suburban environment.

Dormitories
Located in three different areas within the residential community, the residential plazas house over 4,370 undergraduates and include De Neve Plaza, Hedrick Summit, Rieber Terrace, Rieber Vista and Sunset Village. All buildings are air-conditioned and wired for computer network connections. Each building features study space, lounges and laundry facilities. Meals are provided in nearby residential restaurants. Session I: Deneve Plaza / Sunset Plaza: double-occupancy with private bathrooms
Week 3: Sunset Plaza: double-occupancy with private bathrooms
Week 4: Sunset Plaza: double-occupancy with private bathrooms
Week 5: Hedrick Summit: double-occupancy with shared bathrooms; Shared bathrooms are just with one other room
Week 6: Hedrick Summit: double-occupancy with shared bathrooms; Shared bathrooms are just with one other room

Recreation
During camp, students will have access to all of UCLA’s recreational facilities such as The John Wooden Center (basketball, weight-lifting, cardio equipment, etc) and Sunset Canyon Recreation Facility (swimming pools, soccer fields, tennis courts).

While on campus, students will also have access to all of the university’s resources such as JSTOR, Lexis-Nexis and other popular full-text databases.
