Grant Weisberg Wins the Beltway
Stuyvesant High School’s Grant Weisberg is the champion of the second Beltway Invitational at Walt Whitman High School, having bested Strake Jesuit College Preparatory’s John Heizelman in the final round on a 2-1 decision. (Lexington’s Noah Star made a Halloween guest star appearance in the form of Grant Weisberg’s costume.)

West Des Moines Valley Closes Out Iowa Caucus
West Des Moines Valley High School’s Moses Sloven and Jon Langel are the co-champions of this year’s Iowa Caucus at Cedar Rapids Washington High School, having closed out the final round. (Moses defended his title as Valley claimed its second close-out in as many years at the Caucus; he closed out the tournament with teammate Anna Lyons last season.) Read more →

Mountain View High School’s Nikhil Nag is the champion of the Meadows Invitational, claiming the Meadows Belt after defeating Loyola High School’s Bob Overing in the final round.
Josh Feinzig Wins the Penn Round Robin
Stoneman Douglas High School’s Josh Feinzig is the champion of the 2011 Penn Round Robin. Josh, who was also top speaker, defeated Harrison High School’s Danny DeBois in the final round on a 3-2 decision. (Danny entered the final round as the top-placing debater in terms of ballot count.)
