VBI 2011: Demo Debate — Rebecca Kuang vs. Bob Overing
The culminating event of VBI2011-S2 began with a demonstrate debate between Rebecca Kuang of Greenhill School and Bob Overing of Loyola High School. The round was adjudicated by Stephen Babb, Alex Kennedy, Sophie Ruff, Christian Tarsney, and Paul Tyger. Rebecca, who affirmed, won on a 3-2 decision; Babb and Tyger negated.
Registration Now Open for the Kaiser
The Monticello Forensic Society cordially invites you and your team to participate in the twenty-fourth Annual Dr. Robert J. Kaiser Debate Invitational, which will be held on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1, 2011. The invitation is available for download here; registration is now open on Tabroom.com.

Harker Registration Opens
The Harker School’s Howard and Diane Nichols Debate Invitational will be held this season on September 23, 24, and 25, 2011. Registration is available at Joy of Tournaments.
Notes tournament director Carol Green:
The tournament offers open and novice divisions of LD and Policy debate (Friday-Sunday) as well as an open division of PF debate (Friday & Saturday). Housing requests can be made on the Joy site. Entry fees include meals for competitors and coaches/judges. The Harker Nichols invitational is a TOC qualifier in open LD and PF at the semifinal level. We look forward to seeing you in San Jose in September!!!
Aaron Timmons Unveils Greenhill Round Robin Field
Aaron Timmons, director of debate at Greenhill School, has sent the following electronic announcement:
Greenhill School is pleased to announce the Lincoln-Douglas debate and policy debate participants in the 2011 edition of the Greenhill Round Robin, which will be held on September 15 and 16.
We have sixteen outstanding debaters and sixteen outstanding teams that have accepted the challenge that are geographically and stylistically diverse that will make for an educational and social experience that is second to none.
