Third LD Freshman in History Qualifies to TOC
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — By earning his second bid at this weekend’s Vestavia Hills Over the Mountain Classic, New Orleans Jesuit High School’s Jim Huang has become only the third freshman in the history of Lincoln-Douglas Debate to qualify to the National Tournament of Champions. (The first was Hendrick Hudson High School’s Craig Gilbert; the second was Saint Louis Park High School’s Catherine Tarsney.)

Hollywood Invitational (Harvard-Westlake) — Finals: College Prep’s Michelle Deloison-Baum will debate Mercer Island’s Steven Adler next week at Harker.
Over the Mountain Classic (Vestavia Hills) — Finals: New Orleans Jesuit’s Jacob Pritt defeated Byram Hills’s Sammi Cannold on a 2-1 decision.
